She has 25+ years of the private practice of Periodontics. In addition, she has lectured nationally for 27 years, has published 10 papers between 1998 & 2005, and has served as Seattle-King County Dental Society President, Seattle-King County Foundation President and six years as a Board of Trustees Member for the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Townsend also participated in both the 1989 and 1995 World Workshops in Periodontics. She has served on numerous committees including serving as chair of a number of committes, and has received a number of awards over the 25+ years including being selected as one of Seattle's Top Dentists by Seattle Magazine. Dr. Cheryl Townsend Dr. Townsend is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Periodontology, and an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington Graduate Periodontics Department.
